Come join us for this wonderful opportunity to learn about the efforts to re-introduce the wolf to wilderness areas of the continental United States and then photograph at least two packs of wolves.  The California Wolf Center is dedicated to the recovery of wolves in the wildlands they once roamed. They envision a landscape where wolves thrive in healthy ecosystems and wolves and people successfully coexist.   They are also an advocate for ranchers who are conscious stewards of open space.

In order to make wolf recovery possible on today’s landscape, ranchers living with wolves and stewarding our open spaces are a key part of the effort. The California Wolf Center is an advocate for ranchers who are the conscious stewards of open space where wildlife, including wolves, can live - providing benefits to the land and wildlife through their grazing practices while protecting it from development.

Additionally, you will receive a presentation on how to photograph wildlife, and set up your camera for the best success.  (including a PDF of presentation materials)  Then we will go to the wolves for photographing during the Golden hour.   The center will have at least two packs available for us to view and photograph for up to 90 minutes.  Instructors will be available to help answer questions on photography and the wolves.

Please RSVP early as we need to guarantee a minimum of 14 guests.   Funds will be used by the California Wolf Center to promote a culture of coexistence with the wolf in California.  In addition, funding will be used to save the lives of Mexican gray wolves as human caused mortality continues to be the number one cause of death for this critically endangered wolf.  The California Wolf center also provides education on the use and implementation of nonlethal, proactive solutions to wolf-livestock conflicts is critical to prevent these conflicts before they happen. Help make California a safe haven for wolves!
