This class will teach you how to plan, locate and then photograph birds in flight. Most photographers can get shots of birds while they are perched, but to get a great shot you want to get action. This class will give you instructions on finding the birds, looking for action, what gear to use, camera settings and shooting techniques to bring home wall hanging worthy photos of birds in flight. You will learn how to look for birds and once you find them, I'll provide you with setting and techniques to allow you to use your creative artistry to get a great shot. Due to social distancing, we will present all of this via a Zoom meeting a couple days prior to a field trip. You will also receive a pdf of class slides (over 50 slides) and access to the recording for 1 week. Then on site we will demonstrate all the concepts and allow you to practice. At all times we will stress maintaining 6 foot separation and face masks are encouraged.

This class is applicable for all levels of photographers, from beginners to pros. We'll teach you the basics of bird photography. Gear, settings, composition, techniques, and other aspects will be discussed and I provide one-on-one assistance if requested during the photo sessions.
